Instructions for Supplied Artwork

Colour Proof
All artwork supplied electronically WILL look different on our system from your computer screen (If you look a TVs in a store they all show a different colour). If you supply a colour printout that you are happy with it gives our printing staff an indication of the colour you require. If you are not bothered about this, our system / staff will produce the best colour balance from your file, to ensure your leaflets look their best. If you want us to provide a colour proof, they cost between £8 and £15 and are posted out for you to check.

Photographs
These should be scanned without reduction or enlargement at between 300 & 400 dpi. Any scaling should be done after they have been scanned. These MUST be saved as CMYK not RGB

Colour Matching
The process of creating full colour work from the four base colours –  Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black – means that almost any colour can be produced. It is however not possible to match a colour exactly.
If having the exact colour is essential then please do not order from us.

Borders and Bleeds
Images and backgrounds, which you wish to reach the edge, must be extended 2mm beyond the page to create a ‘bleed’ that we can cut into. Text and any other images or boxes that are on your document should be at least 5mm inside the document from the edge. If you feel unsure, we are here to help.

PDF Format
When creating a pdf please ensure that you observe the ‘Borders and Bleeds’ section above and make sure you embed all the fonts. Any photos or graphics should be embedded without compression and MUST be in CMYK. The PDF MUST be in a CMYK format

JPEG/TIFF Format
When creating a jpeg please ensure that you observe the ‘Borders and Bleeds’ section above and make sure you save in the highest quality option. These MUST be saved in CMYK format

Fonts
We have an extensive range of both PC and Mac fonts, however you must either embed the fonts in the document (PDF) or CALL prior to ordering.

Sizes
Business cards 85mm x 55mm
Leaflets A6 – 105mm x 148.5mm; A5 – 148.5mm x 210mm; A4 – 210mm x 297mm
2mm on all sides must be added to the sizes stated.
